About The Position

The Supply Tech in Women & Children's Services is responsible for ensuring that the department has adequate amounts of supplies, equipment, and other items necessary to provide safe patient care. This role involves managing supplies and equipment as delegated by leadership and may include assisting in basic patient support as directed by a professional registered nurse.

Requirements

• Prefer 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Prefer knowledge of medical supplies/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety and health standards, and all rules, regulations, and orders applicable to the individual's position, actions, and conduct.
• Demonstrate clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Be highly organized and understand par levels and ordering processes.
• Perform several tasks in an organized manner.
• Maintain competency appropriate to job function provided, needs of age groups served, and scope of practice.
• Collaborate with Materials Management, nursing departments, and finance team to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient patient care.
• Serve as a model for service excellence and patient satisfaction.
• Perform patient transfers/transports as needed or requested.
• Work collaboratively with staff and Materials Management to order and assure availability of supplies.
• Assure patient rooms and other care areas are stocked with supplies and equipment.
• Stock department specific carts and assure Materials Management stocks/replaces appropriate carts.
• Act as a liaison with Biomedical Engineering to assure equipment is functioning and repaired in a timely manner.
• Clean stretchers and patient rooms in compliance with infection control standards.
• Report occurrences promptly and fully, according to risk management guidelines.
• Maintain quality assurance standards according to regulatory guidelines of DNV, OSHA, and/or other applicable agencies.
• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
