About The Position

The Supply Planner is responsible for planning and balancing production, inventory, and customer demand for styrene monomer and ethylbenzene across multiple Gulf Coast production facilities. This highly visible role supports both internal manufacturing sites and external customers and serves as the central planning interface between Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics. The role requires strong analytical capability, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to make confident planning decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or related roles within a manufacturing or chemical environment
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and scenario-based modeling
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through incomplete or changing data
  • Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and logistics teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred; SAP MM a plus)
  • Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals, including inventory management and logistics concepts
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both frontline teams and senior leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Chemical industry experience, particularly in liquid bulk or commodity chemicals
  • Exposure to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or similar planning frameworks
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations and external customer demand

Responsibilities

  • Plan and balance production to meet demand for styrene monomer and ethylbenzene across multiple production plants and internal/external customers
  • Own and lead the weekly PSI (Planning, Scheduling & Inventory) meeting, integrating demand, production capability, and inventory targets
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze complex Excel-based planning models used to manage production, inventory, and customer shipments
  • Translate demand and production plans into forward-looking feedstock requirements in collaboration with feedstock management
  • Coordinate product movement across multiple transportation modes, including barge, vessel, rail, and truck
  • Serve as the primary planning interface between Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams
  • Monitor inventory positions and proactively identify and resolve supply risks or constraints
  • Make independent planning decisions that directly impact customer fulfillment, operational continuity, and business performance
