About The Position

This Supply Planner supports Supply Planning for the Tyson Brands Retail and Foodservice business. It is responsible for a variety of activities including deployment planning project analysis materials follow-up and reconciliation and supply planning support. This position will prepare the individual for incremental responsibility as a planner within the broader planning department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must possess above average computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite; expertise in Excel features and techniques including the ability to construct graphs templates and trends is required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the deployment of finished goods to various distribution centers while optimizing inventory across the network to meet required service levels at the lowest cost.
  • Translate the consensus demand plan into an inventory deployment plan collaborating with Supply Planning Production Transportation and Warehouses.
  • Analyze stock projection for finished goods and identify solve issues.
  • Analyze stock age for finished goods inventories and take action on SLOB inventory.
  • Minimize transportation cost by optimizing trailer capacity and effective truck building.
  • Work closely with the Production Schedulers on issues when product cannot be manufactured in time to fill replenishment orders.
  • Coordinate with transportation the movement of orders going from the facilities to the distribution centers.
  • Manage inventory in support of major events i.e. item launch promotions new distribution etc.
  • Problem solve with cross-functional partners to resolve inventory issues and proactively address constraints.
  • Review and analyze weekly performance inventory levels; recommend changes to forecasts.
  • Analyze past performance to identify opportunities and create corrective action for improving inventory management performance.
  • Report on a weekly basis the performance of the items assigned based on KPI s given.
  • Interact with Marketing Brand Managers Directors Plant Managers Operations Directors and VP s for their items.
  • Cross train with other Supply Planners and Production Schedulers to act as a back-up Production Scheduler as needed.
  • Develop input and revise the daily production schedule to optimize customer service raw material usage and plant utilization.
  • Develop and implement scheduling run strategies which assist in the attainment of company material usage and efficiency goals.
  • Prepare reports analyses and other statistics pertaining to production efficiencies manufacturing processes material usage rework inventory shipping and product transfer.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to internal and external customers including weekly reporting and conversations with designated customers.
  • Maintain a working capacity plan.
  • Ability to travel to other Production Facilities.
