About The Position

This is a critical role in the supply optimization strategy across the supply & trading team and acts as the key point of contact for the business units, other CK internal teams, and suppliers regarding short-term supply activity. Leads commercial and independent decision making on supply activity for the commercial optimization of the day-to-day supply for the US. Manages a team to drive operational efficiencies across several systems including Telapoint and DTN TABS. Sets daily and long-term supply strategies for the team to achieve the best commercial outcome for the business. Manages the NA ETRM system where the daily reports for PNL and Exposure are produced for management. The role is a key leader within the NA supply and trading team. This role manages a team of 3 supply coordinators and two trade analysts.

Requirements

Minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience in fuel supply & trading, supply optimization, including practical knowledge of various pricing indexes and rack -based pricing mechanisms.
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or related discipline is required.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ETRM systems a plus.
Proven experience working cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
Strong technical understanding of fuel terminal operations, systems, and technologies.
Proven track record of successfully developing and executing strategies that drive growth
Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

Leads and directs daily optimization on supply contracts and terminal inventories on the unbranded business.
Drives and directs strategy to improve daily supply optimization to support reliability and/or efficiency in the team. including various pricing indexes and rack-based pricing mechanisms.
Develop and maintain relationships across industry fuel suppliers and partners to ensure access to reliable, competitively priced fuel.
Collaborate with various CK and Musket teams to ensure streamlined processes.
Uphold communication protocols and maintain a clear set of roles and responsibilities across various teams.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing determined financial and key result area targets according to the company plan guidelines.
Lead and coordinate spot supply activity across supply, trading, and logistics team in the PODs.
Identify areas for improvement within the fuel supply & trading strategy and recommend technological or process-based solutions.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment and understanding of market structure and trading development.
Communicate effectively with senior leadership and external partners to ensure successful team efforts.
Lead the joint optimization team with troubleshooting to reduce execution risks.
Manage the interface with CK suppliers on operational issues or jointly with the sourcing team.
Understand performance and intervene when sustainable performance issues persist.
Drive overall process improvements across supply and logistics.
