About The Position

This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management, Logistics Equipment Management, Honolulu Hawaii.

Requirements

  • One year probationary period is required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position may require TDY 5% of the time.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing a medical supply program and assisting in devising changes to supply processes for a medical facility.
  • Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
  • Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Supply Management Specialist in the Logistics Division working under the supervision of the Equipment Management Branch, Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC).
  • Responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating equipment management programs.
  • Reviews program equipment requests, coordinates with appropriate offices on requests, including actions requiring approval by higher headquarters.
  • Reviews and provides input on local policies and procedures pertaining to Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA), and Common Table of Allowances (CTA) submission as needed.
  • Reports on program requirements, disposition of outstanding requests, recommendations to improve operations, etc.
  • Checks that CEEP funds are executed during the budget year and command obligation goals are met.
