Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.
4-6 years of experience in Supply Management or Operations (e.g., engineering, specials, manufacturing), project management, product development, or related field.
Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Steelcase will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

Managing supplier and commodity strategies, including sourcing and cost optimization.
Implementing supply chain strategies that balance reliability, agility, and profitability.
Applying project management skills to deliver complex projects on time and on budget.
Understanding order fulfillment, manufacturing, quality, materials, and logistics processes.
Communicating effectively with strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
Using tools and methodologies such as value stream mapping, PPAP, ERP systems, and Coupa.

Responsibilities

Providing leadership and strategic influence for product development projects to meet or exceed objectives.
Collaborating with assigned Product Development Studio or Affiliate teams as the escalation point for operational matters.
Acting as a liaison across Operations to implement strategies that balance time, quality, and cost.
Supporting Global Operations strategies by partnering with teams to ensure projects leverage Steelcase capabilities.
Analyzing supplier quotes and proposals to determine the best sourcing options for project needs.
Understanding material requirements and tooling lead times to align with design intent and timelines.
Participating in continuous improvement of Operations and Supply Management processes to drive business outcomes.
