About The Position

The Supply Clerk ensures that maintenance, production, and all other departments receive the necessary parts and supplies in good quality, correct amounts, and at the appropriate time. Additionally, the Supply Clerk maintains a safe and clean work environment for all personnel. The Supply Clerk reports to the Stockroom Supervisor and works with the Receiving Clerk and Purchasing Department to ensure that proper amounts of supplies and correct codes are in place so that supplies can be received into inventory through the SAP system. The Supply Clerk also works with the engineering and maintenance staff to ensure that the plant's parts needs are being met and helps cover for the Receiving Clerk when needed. This role will be 12-hour night shift schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalency.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Moderate computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook (e-mail).
  • Keyboarding skills and ability to use a ten-key calculator or similar office equipment is preferred.
  • Understanding of materials management and prior experience preferred.
  • The Stockroom Clerk must be able to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pound periodically.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Place stockroom items in their proper location.
  • Notify end user of any items specific to them upon arrival.
  • Issue parts/supplies with proper approval and correct work order number.
  • Maintain an on-going perpetual inventory and reconcile with the SAP system.
  • Perform routine cycle counts as directed by the Stockroom Supervisor
  • Assist Stockroom Supervisor in identifying any overage or shortage of parts or supplies by communicating this information so they can be taken care of in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all items are charged out properly in the SAP system in order to maintain correct inventory levels.
  • Insist items that are charged out of inventory have a work order assigned to them before leaving the Stockroom.
  • Assist with receiving freight, verify received quantities, and enter required information in the SAP system.
  • Fill out requisitions as required for non-inventory items.
  • Maintain good safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Interact with maintenance personnel, plant personnel and contractors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Overtime work as required.
  • Pick-up times from local vendors when needed.
  • Stage parts as needed for Plant One, Plant Two, and Plant Three
