Orders, receives, stores, and distributes stocks supplies according to business needs; maintains inventory by checking shelves and reordering standard items as required. Ensures proper handling of products and returning if deem off quality. Must have good computer skills. Maintain clean & organized department. Accuracy is at a premium.

Must be able to hear power equipment operating in work area
Must be able to see clearly and pass pre-employment drug screening
Ability to lift and place materials up to 25 lbs.
Knowledge of support operator policies and procedures
Completing daily team maintenance (DTM) activities
Auditing safety items in department
Maintain cleanliness (5S) of department

Responsibilities

Knowledge of all general plant safety rules & safety absolutes.
Operate equipment in a safe manner
Meet production goals set out by department manager
Follow proper policies and procedures set out by department and location
Order Supplies: Orders stock and special orders in SAP and Ariba once requisitions are approved Count and order Indirect material weekly
Receive Freight: Perform receipt process Check incoming packing list to verify correct shipment File and document purchase orders and packing slips along with any discrepancies Deliver items to correct storage bin Communicate with vendor on any discrepancies in shipment
Ship Materials Package items for shipment Ship UPS Packages and follow up on shipments made through UPS or similar tracking Communicate with receiving location on delivery issues.
Inventory Control Perform cycle counts on supply room materials as well as auxiliary supply areas throughout the plant. Perform counts on Indirect packaging material throughout the plant Check bins for supply count accuracy and stock outs and correct counts where necessary Ensure accuracy of storage bin labels and fix as necessary Help train associates on using supply room wands correctly
General Read, write, and respond to emails to management, suppliers, or vendors in a timely manner and in professional manner Cross Reference part numbers from different suppliers and work with Shop and Maintenance personnel to ensure proper part is ordered Conduct supply usage analysis using Microsoft tools and SAP reports Pick up / Deliver Supply materials as needed, including occasional trips to local parts stores (reimbursement for mileage will be handled through expense report)
