About The Position

Castleview Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Supply Chain Technician. This role is responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. The position reports to the Director or Manager of the Department. Castleview Hospital is a 39-bed acute care hospital serving Carbon and Emery counties in Eastern Utah, known for its exceptional care and accreditations. Responsibilities

  • Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed.
  • Stocks units with office and medical supplies, prepares requisitions to maintain par levels.
  • Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, delivers items to departments or other facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management.
  • Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately.
  • Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery.
  • Processes outgoing mail.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Distributes clean linens to departments (during first 6 weeks).
  • Evaluates rejected linens to verify rejection cause and quantity (during first 6 weeks).
  • Calculates linen quantities and need for new linen orders (during first 6 weeks).
  • Reviews pick sheets (during first 6 weeks).
  • Analyzes point of care area supply quantities (during first 6 weeks).
  • Distributes from the storeroom to point of care areas (during first 6 weeks).
  • Performs cycle counts and subinventory transfers (during first 6 weeks).
  • Estimates supply quantity on hand and makes product reorder recommendations (during first 6 weeks).
  • Receives supplies delivered by shipping companies from distributors and manufacturers (during first 6 weeks).
  • Restocks storeroom shelves (during first 6 weeks).
  • Delivers department specific supplies received (during first 6 weeks).
  • Receives all supplies delivered into the supply chain system (during first 6 weeks).
