About The Position

The Supply Chain Technician is responsible for supporting hospital-wide supply chain operations to ensure the proper quality, quantity, and availability of supplies, equipment, and materials at the appropriate location and time, consistent with the hospital’s standards of care. This role is service-oriented and focuses on supporting clinical and non-clinical departments through accurate inventory management, ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution activities. The Supply Chain Technician plays a critical role in maintaining operational continuity, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a hospital or healthcare supply chain, materials management, or inventory management environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using a hospital inventory management or supply chain system, including ordering, receiving, inventory tracking, and PAR level replenishment.
  • Experience supporting perpetual inventory systems and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage daily priorities, and exercise sound judgment in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, organizational skills, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily supply chain operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and internal distribution of supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Utilize hospital inventory management or supply chain systems to track inventory usage, availability, and replenishment needs.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to support the PAR Level Replenishment System and fulfill departmental stock requisitions.
  • Receive all materials entering the facility, inspect shipments for accuracy and condition, and ensure proper documentation is completed and forwarded as required.
  • Accurately stock supplies in designated storage areas, maintaining organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Distribute supplies to hospital departments in a timely, organized, and professional manner.
  • Identify and communicate supply shortages, discrepancies, damaged goods, or system issues to the Supply Chain Operations Supervisor.
  • Support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and routine inventory maintenance activities.
  • Assist with product evaluations for new supplies or equipment as requested by departments.
  • Ensure supply chain workflows are followed consistently and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to all hospital departments in support of patient care.
