About The Position

The Supply Chain Systems Specialist will help define, design, train, implement and support the roll out of all phases on the new systems [Transportation Management System (TMS), the Warehouse Management System (WMS), the Warehouse Control System (WCS), and the Parcel Management program] and maintenance of the system after go-live including system enhancements to support the organizations growing business and changing business needs. To be successful in this role, candidates should have strong technical skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should also have experience in warehouse operations and be familiar with best practices for inventory management and logistics. Additionally, should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in 2-3 DC functional areas.
  • Must be a person who accepts change and lead others through change.
  • Must be willing to provide a constructive opinion and actively participate in discussions.
  • Cross functional expert able to work well with others to gather information or data.
  • Must have strong administrative skills, proficient in Word, Excel, PPT, DC systems, and be comfortable around computer systems in general.
  • Must be willing to learn new processes.
  • Must be willing to train in small groups.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to work under, and deliver on, tight project timelines.
  • Travel to Dodgeville or Reedsburg will be necessary at times up to 100% at implementation and during hyper care.
  • Must be able to identify system or process defects and collaborate with appropriate team members to come to resolution.
  • Candidate must be able to think about processes upstream and downstream to ensure appropriate design and configuration optimizes performance.

Responsibilities

  • Complete process mapping and functional Standard Operating Procedures with DC partners.
  • Actively participate in system (ALL) design, build and implementation meetings.
  • Train employees on new job processes with the introduction of new systems.
  • Assist in system testing as coordinated by the project team.
  • Verify functionality on design decisions and provide feedback of those decisions.
  • Partner with other key stakeholders to outline and document processes and understand the business and at operational level.
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Manhattan Associates Active WMS.
  • Coordinate with IT and operational teams to ensure smooth integration of the WMS with other systems.
  • Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving any issues proactively.
  • Keep abreast of the latest WMS trends and technologies, recommending upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
  • Design and implement advanced strategies for space optimization, inventory control, and workflow efficiency within the WMS environment.
  • Work closely with the management team to align the WMS capabilities with the overall business objectives and goals.
  • Facilitate innovative solutions to complex logistical challenges using WMS tools and features.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback from system users and incorporating it into system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve warehouse processes and efficiency. Facilitate WMS processes with Material Handling Equipment and WCS solution partner.
