Northeast Georgia Health System is rooted in a foundation of improving the health of our communities. The Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness of data, data interchange, and training of Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS). This role involves close collaboration with other departments on data requests to support their needs. The Systems Analyst manages the ERP System, testing new software releases, setting up modules, providing workflow improvements, and training new users.

  • Maintain and add accurate information and data in the MMIS System.
  • Maintain Master Vendor file as required by Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate changes to items, pars, and inventories related to product conversion, standardization, backorder, recall, and substitute processes.
  • Build contracts in relation to MMIS System and interfacing programs such as GHX and Vizient.
  • Advise on effective software use and proper procedures to meet desired environment.
  • Support activities requiring specialized system analysis.
  • Extract data to enable reporting needs of Supply Chain Management Department, Finance, and other departments.
  • Implement and maintain MMIS to ensure availability and functionality throughout the organization.
  • Participate in the development of written procedures and policies for system operation and changes.
  • Update processes and software, and train staff on system functionality.
  • Perform system testing.
  • Maintain systems and procedures for an accurate and current database.
  • Maintain new employee and changes employee information in the Employee module.
  • Authorize established users for data entry in manager utilities section.
  • Provide training as needed.
  • Represent Material Management's interests in liaison activities with Information Systems Department.
  • Lead projects for software evaluation.
  • Support Material Management's computer system needs at monthly team meetings.
  • Ensure proper month-end close, year-end, and maintenance of R&I Reports.
  • Assure smooth workflow within the Materials Management area.
  • Report to the Systems Manager regarding staffing compliance.
  • Complete file maintenance as requested.
  • Consult with professional staff to meet clerical needs.
  • Counsel staff using a coaching mode.
  • Make recommendations on workflow or procedural changes to gain efficiencies.
  • Perform other duties, such as buying supplies as needed.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area.
  • Three (3)+ years of job-specific experience in supply chain management, preferably in healthcare, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
