About The Position

The Supply Chain Support Specialist is critical in ensuring access to correct and timely information. They support our team of inventory planners with updating data in our ERP and communicating with our vendors to resolve issues. This role helps to maintain expected delivery dates and follows up on past due purchase orders, ensuring the reliability of the information in our system, thereby instilling trust in our sales and client services teams. From time to time this role also takes on special projects to contribute to department efficiency, ensure data congruency, and support external requests of the department.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Excel
  • Computer skills including use of Word, Excel and other software as required
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Persistence with the ability to schedule and follow-up
  • Commitment to our stakeholders: Customers, Employees and Vendors

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field of study is a plus
  • Experience with CRM and ERP inventory management software is a plus
  • Previous experience in a purchasing department or other related fields a plus

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on purchase orders to ensure vendor acknowledgment and ship dates
  • Work with vendors to report and correct shipping discrepancies
  • Manage pricing updates by compiling and uploading new data
  • Identify and share opportunities to streamline processes and eliminate waste
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing communications
  • Provide colleagues with status updates
  • Follow up on ongoing projects
  • Monitor open purchase orders for past-due materials
  • Assist Sales and Customer Service Departments with projects
  • Track metrics and provide reports
  • Provide feedback to help navigate ongoing projects
  • Take on self-managed projects
