We invite you to become part of Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network. The Storeroom is a vital part of the hospital; Hartford Hospital’s’ storeroom remains open on a 24 hour basis. The department works together to ensure the needs of our patients, visitors and staff are met in a timely courteous manner. This includes working closely with clinical teams to provide medical supplies as needed in a timely manner. They also provide supplies to offsite HHC facilities in the surroundings area. The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational activities of Supply Chain distribution for Hartford Hospital. The areas of responsibility include staff supervision, shipping, receiving, inventory management, management, and mailroom/courier services.

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience in supply and inventory management related position, preferably in acute health care environment
• Experience managing point of use inventory management systems
• Ability to interact and problem solve with clinical staff on Supply Chain related issues
• Prior experience in utilizing and maintaining accuracy of computer supply and inventory management systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PeopleSoft strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of up to 25 regional supply chain staff.
• Provides feedback on individual performance expectations; mentors, and develops employees
• Respond to customer needs, resolving conflicts, and educating employees on customer service.
• Effectively and continually communicates with the staff, management, and customers to facilitate the flow of information
• Manage storeroom inventories and oversee Pyxis clinical area inventory.
• Monitor the quality, cost, and quantity of product to meet business and customer needs.
