JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Purpose: Serves as a Supervisor within Network Planning, overseeing key supply chain functions including logistics planning, cost and compliance management, and both short and long-term strategic initiatives. Manages and supports a small team, providing direction, prioritization, and day-to-day guidance to ensure effective execution of network strategies. This supervisory role may require ongoing coaching and guidance from a manager to further develop leadership, people management, and team coaching capabilities. The position may include hands-on, day-to-day execution responsibilities as a working supervisor. Accountable for the performance of the assigned area across critical dimensions, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related degree and 5+ years of experience. Prior experience in either supervision or supply chain required
  • Solid understanding of information systems that support supply chain and manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, facilitation and giving presentations
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, analytical and conceptual skills
  • Knowledge and skills in problem solving, analysis, communication and opportunity identification
  • Knowledge in lean manufacturing methodologies and how to apply though Andersen Manufacturing System (AMS)
  • Demonstrated ability in coaching and training others

Responsibilities

  • Provide linkage to support resources such as Materials Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering and Configuration Services, IT, Distribution, Transportation, and Consolidation Centers.
  • Design and implement cost improvement business models across the supply chain that achieve strategic process enhancements while ensuring performance aligns with established cost center budgets.
  • Develop a high-performance work team by providing appropriate training, tools, guidance, coaching, and feedback. Support and involve employees in identifying and permanently removing obstacles to performance excellence; provide & support developmental opportunities for staff.
  • Requires ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data, offer solutions, and implement to achieve the desired results.
  • Ensures coordination and integration of manufacturing and planning policies, processes and programs, including customer service and operational efficiencies, which support the Plant and Supply Chain Metrics
  • Lead, direct, and participate in continuous improvement activities to accomplish plant business goals and objectives in terms of safety, quality, customer service, cost and staff development.
  • Coach, train, support, and develop a team of flexible, multiskilled staff in accordance with Andersen Corporation’s Lean principles, values, employee covenant, and strategic direction, while also providing reliable backup support to supply chain personnel to ensure continuity of operations.
