About The Position

Lockheed Martin is currently looking for experienced professionals to manage subcontracts within the Vehicle Systems team on the Joint Strike Fighter Supply Chain organization in FTW, TX. The Subcontract Manager will be responsible for: Management and coordination of subcontractor activities related to the overall performance of the assigned subcontractor(s). This may include supporting the development of supplier statements of work, the issuance of purchase orders, negotiation of all elements of a subcontract (price, terms, delivery, etc). As the subcontract manager, duties also include cross functional coordination with internal stakeholders (Quality, Engineering, etc) to ensure that all subcontractor deliverables meet quality standards, delivered on time and within targeted cost and other measurable performance metrics. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience in Supply Chain in Aerospace industry.
  • Experience with procurement principles, subcontract management, supply chain management.
  • Experience with negotiating complex terms and conditions.
  • Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Management and coordination of subcontractor activities related to the overall performance of the assigned subcontractor(s).
  • Supporting the development of supplier statements of work
  • Issuance of purchase orders
  • Negotiation of all elements of a subcontract (price, terms, delivery, etc)
  • Cross functional coordination with internal stakeholders (Quality, Engineering, etc) to ensure that all subcontractor deliverables meet quality standards, delivered on time and within targeted cost and other measurable performance metrics.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all assigned subcontractors
  • Promptly review and disposition subcontractor invoices
  • Monitor delivery and cost performance in accordance with established contractual terms and conditions
  • Develop and manage request for proposals for high value and critical major systems
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms
  • Issue purchase orders
  • Work as primary POC for conflict resolution and problem solving with success of the warfighter and critical supply base in-mind.
