The Supply Chain Specialist directly reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for ensuring that materials are properly scheduled, delivered and are ready to be received, inspected/sampled, and released. This includes ensuring incoming purchase orders are created, scheduled, and delivered within the designated time frame, dock appointments are being adhered to, and the paperwork packet is available at every step as needed within the process. This role will require the individual to demonstrate organization, follow-up, strong internal customer service capability and execution with excellent communication skills. The position will need to coordinate and manage all aspects of incoming material delivering/receipts; Will also be a part of the Pre-Distribution team that processes customer orders and creates/maintains Master Checklists (MCL’s) for customer shipping requirements. The Role: Working with Project Management, Pre-Prod, Pre-Distribution, Label Control, Procurement and other as applicable to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered with the required paperwork. If it is not, they will work with the appropriate groups to get it in place for receipt and release. Responsible for site utilization and maintenance of the Site Running Receipt Log. This position is also responsible for ensuring all activities result in the successful, timely and cost-effective processing of orders to ensure customer and stakeholder satisfaction. Manages processes to optimize quality performance and on-time delivery to ensure customer satisfaction. Champions and fosters involvement by all levels of the organization of the implementation and maintenance of “Best Practice” processes, enhance teamwork, accountability and drive a sense of urgency throughout entire area. Establishes through visual management and continually enhances self-sustaining processes that drive associate involvement and support decision-making at the lowest possible level. Develops and sustains internal and external customer relationships through direct interaction, responsiveness and accountability. Will have good understanding of overall S&OP process to confirm we have the resources required to receive supplies during peak periods or when there are scenarios that require multiple receipts of the same type (i.e. refrigerated, frozen etc.), which require capacity and expertise. Collects, reviews, trends, and shares KPI’s to confirm and assure continuous improvement. Creation of non-itemized purchase orders for facilities, warehouse, and production needs. Currently this role will serve as non-specific project related procurement of materials. Any other duties as designated.
