About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations for an organization based in Middleton, WI. This is an open‑ended contract position offering hybrid work flexibility. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to support ongoing business needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience in a Buyer, Purchasing, or Procurement role
Strong understanding of purchasing and inventory management principles
Experience using SAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment
Familiarity with contract or project-based purchasing
Advanced Excel or data analysis skills

Responsibilities

Procure materials, components, and services in alignment with demand and operational requirements
Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or excess
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and order status
Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or invoice discrepancies
Maintain accurate purchasing data within ERP or purchasing systems
Collaborate with internal teams including Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Finance
Support cost optimization efforts and supplier performance improvements
Prepare reports related to purchasing activity, inventory, and supplier metrics
