Position Summary The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for inventory analysis and purchase order management related tasks in the Supply Chain organization. This includes coordinating material purchases, logistics, order- specific documentation, reports, and recordkeeping. The Supply Chain Specialist maintains strong relationships with suppliers and communicates supplier performance standards and expectations. They work to optimize pricing and other terms with suppliers. They support the entire organization in identifying material requirements and communicating the status of incoming goods

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Distribution, Engineering or other related degree or experience, with 3 or more years related work experience preferred.
  • Superior attention to detail and excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Technical aptitude adequate to understand goals and objectives and how they pertain to our products, customers and markets.
  • Advanced analytic and technical skills to include tools such as Microsoft Excel (algorithms & pivot tables).
  • Experience in databases and related software is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Experience with industrial goods inventory preferred.
  • A positive attitude with the ability to cultivate and develop working relationships as a strong team player.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory management – In coordination with the Supply Chain Manager, monitor inventory levels to ensure position to inventory goals are maintained. Act to plan and coordinate to maintain inventory levels.
  • Support the purchasing functions such as negotiating contracts, pricing, making purchases, and establishing agreements with suppliers and vendors.
  • Assist with developing relevant purchasing and logistics SOPs.
  • Expedite orders and track deliveries to ensure company satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with staff and vendors to ensure timely and accurate arrival of products and services.
  • Track and analyze current and historical market trends related to product and raw material prices.
  • Strictly adhere to company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
