About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist performs essential base-level tasks and functions related to service fulfillment, disinfection, and sanitation in patient-facing, ancillary, or back-office areas. This role provides service, support, and colleague or customer support in accordance with experience, education, regulatory agency standards, and established policies and procedures. The specialist is expected to conduct daily functions in a compassionate, ethical, and respectful manner, supporting patients, families, and guests to exceed their expectations and delivering personalized care. The position involves performing job-related activities for customers, responding promptly to their needs, and following standards of performance and work processes while being mindful of resource utilization. Maintaining appropriate communication with all stakeholders, working in an environmentally safe and professional manner, demonstrating flexibility, and contributing to a positive work environment are crucial. The specialist is accountable for continuous self-development and supporting others' growth, and must maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure adherence to ethical and safe work practices. Functional duties include requesting, receiving, distributing equipment, managing obsolescence, stocking general medical-surgical supplies, troubleshooting supply issues, and resolving discrepancies. The role also involves maintaining organized work and supply storage areas, performing periodic PAR level replenishment, and serving as a frontline Supply Chain support representative for ordering, data entry, and payment activities. An Advanced Technician within this role, requiring 2+ years of healthcare supply chain experience, also trains colleagues, assumes responsibility for extra assignments, and handles complex orders, data entry, reporting, and payment initiatives, providing significant inventory or data support.

Requirements

  • Have received a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Be able to complete additional education, training and competency tests as required
  • Valid driver’s license where required by assignment
  • 2+ years Supply Chain experience in a healthcare setting (for Advanced Technician role)
  • Experienced with health ministries and System supply chain processes within specialty areas (for Advanced Technician role)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Supply Chain experience in a healthcare, warehousing, or other distribution environment

  • Requesting, receiving, distributing equipment & obsolescence management & stocking of general med-surg supplies in various healthcare settings
  • Works with end users as necessary to request supplies, troubleshoot supply issues, & resolve discrepancies as they occur
  • Maintains work & supply storage areas & equipment in a clean, up to date, organized & safe condition
  • Performs periodic PAR level replenishment duties using various resupply procedures to maintain stock levels
  • Serves as a frontline Supply Chain support representative for ordering, data entry & payment activities
  • Assists Supply Chain Leader with special assignments
  • Provides inventory or data support (70%+ time)
  • Trains colleagues & readily assume responsibility for extra assignments (for Advanced Technician)
  • Serves as a frontline Supply Chain support representatives for complex orders, data entry, reporting & payment activities and initiatives (for Advanced Technician)
