About The Position

Working as Full-time, Supply Chain Specialist, you will be a strategic link in the company impacting how Fastenal manages product flow both domestically and internationally. This position will work closely with other departments such as Operations, Logistics, Supplier Development, & Accounting to improve product flow efficiency. Regular decision making and strategy will help you be successful in this role. These decisions may include, but are not limited to, determining which products to bring into our distribution center stocked offering, strategic category development (both product and supplier) and product & supplier life cycle management.

Requirements

Prior administrative, customer service, or industry experience OR possess or are working towards a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Business Administration, Math, Statistics, Data Science or a related Business field
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Work well independently and in a team environment
