About The Position

The position involves maintaining a professional image and exhibiting excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. The role requires maintaining fill rate objectives and ensuring the efficiency of the restocking process. Responsibilities include communicating data to inventory control personnel for updating the supply chain management system, responding appropriately to hazardous spills according to MRMC/McLeod Health policy, and inspecting, receiving, and unpacking shipments. The individual will verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips, record receiving transactions, report shortages and damaged products, and transfer/transport supplies and equipment to all designated inventory locations. Additionally, maintaining inventory controls, processing stock issues, and ensuring compliance with department, hospital, state, and federal regulations are essential duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High school diploma/GED.
  • Successful completion of WIN Testing or completion of McLeod approved Transition to Work Program.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations.
  • Ensure fill rate objectives and efficiency of the restocking process.
  • Communicate data to inventory control personnel for updating supply chain management system.

  • Inspect, receive, and unpack shipments.

  • Maintain inventory controls including receiving, verifying, storing, and issuing supplies/materials.
  • Process stock issues and record them on appropriate systems or logs.
  • Inform supervisor of supply shortages and assist in processing outstanding orders.
  • Maintain clean and orderly conditions in assigned work areas.
  • Ensure compliance with department, hospital, state, and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to the Telephone etiquette policy.
  • Monitor expiration dates on products and communicate expired products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
