Job Posting Title: Supply Chain Specialist (Material Handler) (Dallas) Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Use critical thinking skills to question processes and make recommendations for efficient and positive changes Support consistent and timely delivery of products to appropriate departments or designated locations Review past activity and transactions for understanding future materials demand and maintaining proper par-levels Support Tech's reconciliation of supply par inventory volume trends and make adjustment recommendations as needed Coordinate the return of damaged or incorrect goods in a timely manner Check sterilization expiration dates and rotate stock of med/surgical supplies on a regular basis Remove outdated supplies according to established procedure Ensure that accurate records of supplies and inventory levels are maintained Conduct and coordinate the activities and processes of procurement, receipt, distribution, stocking, and inventory management of medical supplies and other materials for the assigned clinical procedure area recall management and product returns Interacts with the Purchasing Department to monitor compliance with point-of-use technology systems Use knowledge gained through product delivery, stocking level review, backorder information, and other inputs to help improve supply chain processes, performance, and to reduce costs Cover mailroom duties as needed Other duties as assigned by supervisor Required Skills/Abilities High school diploma Critical thinking skills Must possess basic knowledge of supply chain processes, policies and procedures, including OSHA requirements Strong willingness to learn department activity and usage of equipment and supplies (including P.C.), the use of handheld scanners to manage inventory, of perpetual inventory operations Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel Capable of outlining departmental projects and seeing them through to completion Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills Must be an organized, self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and able to work in a fast-paced, multitask work environment

Requirements

  • Must possess basic knowledge of supply chain processes, policies and procedures, including OSHA requirements
