About The Position

The Supply Chain Solutions Technician oversees the management of safety products, welding hard goods, and packaged gases. This role focuses on the proactive management of customer inventory to ensure consistent product availability and prevent service disruptions. You will drive a company truck to take cylinders to customer location. You will inspect cylinders at customer site, check product levels and change out cylinders as needed. Oversee the ordering and error resolution workflows to ensure efficiency. Execute and manage EDI/EFT and e-commerce integrations. Generate internal cost allocation, accounting, auditing, and regulatory agency reports. Maintain precision in cylinder barcode tracking systems. Provide technical support and maintenance for hand-held units and related equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas and welding supply sales.
  • Valid state driver's license with good MVR.
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend all written communication, both computer generated and hand written.
  • Must have at least 2 years customer facing experience.
  • Needs to have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Needs to have the ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform math functions and analysis as needed by the position.
  • Needs to be able to lift to 60 pounds and move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment (forklift/carts).
