SUMMARY: Commands a deep and wide knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain, especially within the technical systems environments and their interactions with other business functions such as finance, order, and engineering. Works with senior leaders to strategically determine initiative priority, scope and sequencing to develop and maintain a capability roadmap. Responsible for leading the effort to understand the corporate strategy and translate it into divisional strategies. Leads at a divisional level across organizational boundaries by enabling business solutions to satisfy business strategies. Identifies, drives development and implementation of required business capabilities to support the strategy. Delivers measurable value to the enterprise in KPI results, enablement of targeted business growth, and employee experience through optimized processes and technical solutions.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related degree; 10+ years' experience preferred
  • Commands a deep and wide knowledge within discipline, including relevant methodologies (ERP, Lean Sigma, business process development, architecture) and interactions with other business functions such as finance, order, sourcing, IT, SC planning, logistics, manufacturing and engineering
  • Capable of setting vision and strategy to support the division
  • Demonstrates experience utilizing lean tools across an organization such as new product development or product flow from order to delivery
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships
  • Experience with change management strategies and processes required to support an organization
  • Applies a variety of coaching techniques to develop an individual's knowledge and skills
  • Applies negotiation and conflict management techniques between two or more parties in a manner that provides a win-win solution for all
  • Self-starter & self-motivated in ambiguous situation
  • Ability to strike a balance between practical solutions and alignment with the architectural vision

Responsibilities

  • Works with senior business and technology leaders to understand and interpret strategic needs. Develops cross business solutions and capabilities.
  • Drives the creation of cross-functional strategic capability assessments and roadmaps to achieve long range goals.
  • Develops and advises leadership on recommended supply chain disciplines, best practices and guidelines for the enterprise.
  • Drives value to the entire supply chain, going beyond the 4 walls to engage with suppliers, customers, and other partners.
  • Coaches and mentors Supply Chain Process Designers and Architects to share and utilize best practices across the enterprise.
  • Develops and drives the use of common tools and processes consistent with future needs.
  • Leads the design of supply chain solutions across suppliers, customers and other partners for a business unit or division.
  • Benchmarks internal and external best practices and industry trends to drive solutions and capabilities. Actively continues education to stay current on industry and professional trends, capabilities, and technologies.
  • Participates in strategic planning and blueprinting exercises by providing current state knowledge as well as insights into the future direction.
