This position is for an Advanced Engagement Supply Chain Quality Engineer who can demonstrate extreme ownership of the entire Supply Chain Quality lifecycle for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program. A qualified candidate can apply quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, requirements development, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, process standardization, and/or production support as they apply to product or process quality for major subcontracted products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering), with 5 years or more of professional experience. Considered an emerging authority.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation.
  • Root Cause & corrective action implementation experience.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements including AS9100, ISO9000 and/or equivalent QMS requirements
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and requires an Interim Secret Prior to start. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Supply Chain Quality Engineering and customer and/or supplier facing roles.
  • Quality MRB Certification.
  • Proven ability working independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to identify critical impacts and drive them to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
