We are looking for a Localization Project Manager to drive strategic cost reduction initiatives through supply chain deployment, localization, and supplier development. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in localization, project management, and procurement, with potential career growth toward becoming a Program Manager, Localization Leader, or Procurement Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Lead localization initiatives to relocate all kind of part categories to North America (NAM) or low-cost countries, ensuring alignment with cost reduction and supply chain strategies.
  • Manage QVE (Quality Value Engineering) and COS (Change of Supplier) projects within the North American Strategic Projects Team.
  • Develop and execute deployment action plans for each component, ensuring technical feasibility, supplier readiness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to validate supplier capabilities and drive efficient project execution.
  • Consolidate project data into formal documentation, ensuring all localization efforts are well-tracked and transparent.
  • Regularly present project progress and results to Senior Managers, Directors, and VPs.
  • Drive supplier transitions and localization strategies in alignment with business priorities.
  • Conduct cost breakdown analysis, define target pricing, and lead negotiation process with suppliers across diverse commodities.
  • Work closely with Commodity Managers to identify and qualify suppliers that meet technical feasibility, Quality and financial objectives.
  • Engage with Engineering Teams to evaluate supplier capabilities, material compatibility, and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Manage project timelines, risk assessments, and stakeholder communications, ensuring smooth execution, coordinating cross functional contributors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in Project Management, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain
  • Strong communication skills
  • Synthetic and efficient communication
  • Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to lead through influence
  • Experience with part design, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with raw materials, sheet metal, heat and surface treatment processes
  • Ability to analyze engineering drawings, BOMs, and cost models
  • International travel (up to 15%) - must have a valid passport and U.S. visa
  • Prior experience in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain
  • Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and manage supplier negotiations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
