About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to support our Fuel, Motion, and Controls group. This role is either aligned to a hybrid working schedule within the following FMC site locations: Grand Rapids, MI; Jackson, MS; Euclid, OH; Charleston, SC; Irvine, CA; and Los Angeles, CA. Our hybrid schedule is 3 days in office, and 2 remote. This role is also open to remote work, if outside of a 50 mile radius of these cities. Expected travel on role is between 5-25% per year, dependant on customer and supplier base needs. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for managing in a matrix environment, subcontractors of critical components during the development phase of New Programs across every FMC site worldwide. Subcontract Program Management focuses on ensuring Program Management discipline is integrated into the Supply Chain, ensuring suppliers meet the program Cost / Schedule / Performance requirements in accordance with the PROLaunch process and the SCM Sourcing Gate Review Process. This role focuses on the management of the subcontractor versus the subcontract (i.e. management of the supplier versus management of PO deliverables) from Phase 0 Concept thru Phase 6 Transition to Production ensuring maximum supplier involvement from project launch through rate production. Specific tasks associated include aligning the Supply Chain to meet program critical path requirements, ensuring compliance with customer flow-down requirements (offset, DFAR, quality, etc.), and ensuring success of the overall program sourcing strategy. Strong supplier development and relationship modeling expertise is required to ensure contractual requirements are met and to support growth of the business relationship between Eaton and the selected subcontractors. Position interfaces through the Program Office, ensuring smooth flow of supply chain processes and complete alignment of supplier through to customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of (5) years experience in Supply Chain, Program Management, Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, or Contracts.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment.
  • Three (3) years experience in purchasing or materials management positions.
  • CPIM, CSCP, and / or PMP certification
  • Experience in Enovia (product life cycle management), Oracle, MFG/Pro, SAP, and or Kinaxis
  • Experience in ProPM or ProStudio
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Work as a team with peers and cross-functions to enhance problem solving and decision making.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Manages the subcontractor to ensure timely completion of all efforts associated with the project
  • Ensures the program, site or commodity manager selects sources in accordance with the Sourcing Strategy established by the Commodity Leads utilizing the Sourcing Gate Process.
  • Ensures the supply chain process is fully engaged from RFQ through the various reviews including System Requirements, Preliminary Design, Critical Design, Test Readiness, and Production Readiness.
  • Understands critical paths with the Eaton prime program (proposal stage, pending win, win, development, test, transition to production) including supplier dependencies and new program awards
  • Develops and manages project plans, utilizing the Early Sourcing Work Plan (ESWP), necessary to ensure program success
  • Develops, with support of program team, required Statements Of Work (SOW) and Performance Based Specifications (PBS) on which the award will be based
  • Ensures compliance with applicable contract flow-downs (FAR, DFAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Manages review of all proposal responses and prepares team (procurement, technical, quality) to audit potential suppliers
  • Evaluates supplier Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Project plan for feasibility and sufficient detail to ensure key milestones such as completion of Concept Design, Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), and Production Readiness Review (PRR) are scheduled and completed to the program plan
  • Establishes Risk Management plan with the Program Manager, SCPM and Supply base to identify and mitigate risks on a real time basis
  • Technically astute to effectively interface with supplier, program office, customer, etc.
  • Co-lead the Supply Chain Integrated Product Team (IPT) consisting of Commodity Leads (sourcing), site buyers (Procurement), and Supplier Development Engineers (APQP), from both Eaton and the suppliers. This team conducts periodic Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM) to track progress between milestones.
