Job Description: Role Overview The Product Lifecycle Management Program Manager (PLC-PM) within Supply Chain Product Operations leads products across their full lifecycle—from New Product Introduction (NPI) through sustainment and end-of-life. This role ensures products are delivered on schedule, at optimal cost, and with high quality and operational predictability. As a key cross-functional integrator, the PLC-PM partners with Business Units, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Quality to align product strategy with execution. The role serves as a central integration point, translating operational insights into actionable improvements that enhance cost, lifecycle performance, and customer outcomes. A core focus is building a robust closed-loop feedback system that captures lifecycle lessons learned/best practices and embeds them into future NPI programs. The PLC-PM also leads initiatives spanning product improvements, process optimization, and cross-functional transformation. This role supports a diverse product portfolio - from simple to highly complex systems - across both Contract Manufacturer (CM) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) environments. What success looks like Predictable, on-time product launches with strong manufacturing readiness and supply chain alignment. Proactive risk management, with supply, cost, and lifecycle risks identified early and mitigated before impacting customers or revenue. Improved cost performance, including measurable reductions in COGS, PPV, excess & obsolescence (E&O), through early supply chain engagement and design influence. Effective cross-functional alignment, where teams operate with clear priorities, accountability, and minimal friction across BU, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Product Lifecycle Management or Program Management, ideally in a hardware, technology, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record managing products across the full product lifecycle (NPI through sustainment and end‑of‑life).
  • Experience supporting or leading programs with Contract Manufacturer (CM) and/or Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) relationships and related governance.
  • Knowledge of BOM management, configuration control, ECO/engineering change processes, and change control governance.
  • Strong program and stakeholder management skills: planning, prioritization, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional influence.
  • Demonstrated analytical capability: KPI development, dashboards, and data‑driven decision support.
  • Track record of influencing without authority and driving alignment across complex organizations
  • Thrives in evolving environments, managing multiple priorities, and responding to changing supply chain conditions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or relevant certifications (PMP, APICS CPIM/CSCP, Lean/Six Sigma).
  • Experience in networking, telecommunications, or complex hardware products.
  • Global supply chain exposure and supplier/partner management experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems (SAP, Oracle), MRP processes and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience building closed‑loop feedback systems and leading operational transformation initiatives, or operational excellence efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Ownership Own lifecycle execution for assigned products: ensure readiness at NPI launch, manage sustainment activities, and drive orderly end‑of‑life transitions.
  • Program Planning and Execution Lead and influence cross‑functional program planning and execution: set milestones, coordinate interdependencies, track status, and resolve issues to maintain momentum.
  • Analytics and Operational Excellence Implemented continuous improvement of NPI/lifecycle processes and governance, updating ECO controls, process maps, work instructions, and templates, resulting in faster launches and fewer post release issues. Drive analytics and operational insight: define KPIs, build dashboards, and surface data-driven recommendations that inform roadmap, supply, and cost decisions. Establish and maintain closed‑loop feedback: capture lessons learned and embed best practices into future NPIs
  • Risk Management Manage risk and escalations: identify supply continuity, material obsolescence, capacity, and compliance risks and drive mitigation plans.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration Collaborate with stakeholders: align forecasts, supply plans and inventory strategies with Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics.
  • Escalation Management Act as the primary contact for supply chain lifecycle issues and escalations, driving timely resolutions and minimizing impact on delivery and cost.
