About The Position

The Supply Chain Procurement Specialist at Northrop Grumman is responsible for sourcing and procuring various commodities to support production programs. This role involves managing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. The position is integral to maintaining supplier quality and reliability while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with professional experience in supply chain management or related fields.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Procurement experience in a Government environment.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing suppliers through cost/schedule/quality metrics.
  • Professional experience in a regulated industry such as Aerospace & Defense or Telecommunications.
  • Experience with Critical Path Management, FAR, and DFARS.
  • Two+ years' experience negotiating terms and conditions in a corporate setting.
  • Experience analyzing data to formulate effective negotiation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure several commodities such as hardware components and COTS items.
  • Manage the procurement process including price analysis and negotiations.
  • Initiate Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyze proposed pricing from suppliers.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability in conjunction with the quality organization.
  • Work with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for required services or products.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency through negotiations.
  • Manage performance of purchase orders and ensure compliance with public law and company policies.
  • Review, reconcile, and approve supplier invoices.
  • Collaborate with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain.
  • Plan, schedule, and arrange activities to accomplish objectives.
