About The Position

The Dorman Supply Chain Team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain operations, providing exposure to real-world business processes and supplier interactions.

Requirements

• Completion of coursework in Business, Finance, or Accounting (preferred)
• Genuine interest in Supply Chain Management
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Willingness to take direction from project leads and proactively seek clarification when needed
• Demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism

Nice To Haves

• Completion of at least two years of college coursework prior to the internship is preferred
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Prior internship experience, relevant work history, or involvement in professional clubs/organizations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the procurement process by assisting with the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services
• Maintain and update procurement systems, records, and documentation
• Help prepare and analyze procurement reports, metrics, and data insights
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving procurement processes
• Assist in managing supplier relationships and help resolve any issues that may arise
