About The Position

Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology is looking for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist in Elko, NV. This role requires a driven self-starter with a continuous desire to learn and grow, a process-oriented focus, and the ability to perceive customer needs. The specialist will utilize demand forecasting principles and systems to deliver effective part plans to support Sandvik's installed base within the assigned market area or customer base. Responsibilities include supporting Parts and Services Sales Representatives (PSSRs) in driving the forecasting process, utilizing strategic stock tools to secure inventory levels, and supporting parts planning for new customers and machine models. The position aims to meet targets on revenue growth, on-time delivery (OTD), warehouse stock turns, and networking capital targets for Parts and Services.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar aftermarket environment.
  • Exposure to the supply of parts and consumables in the mining and construction industry.
  • Computer literacy with exposure to ERP systems and MS Office (Power BI knowledge advantageous).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Support the PSSR in accomplishing parts forecasting through analyzing customer maintenance plans.
  • Review consignment stockrooms and branch inventory levels for gaps in parts availability.
  • Identify inventory policy deviations and propose mitigation plans.
  • Utilize Sandvik systems to manage replenishment of consignment stock levels.
  • Analyze return requests from assigned customer base for compliance and impact.
  • Consolidate parts forecast at the customer level and engage with PSSRs for forecast improvement.
  • Provide customized progress reports to internal stakeholders regarding planning activities and KPI performance.
  • Create and motivate strategic stock requests and review expired requests monthly.
  • Participate in service level review meetings with internal Dealer's stakeholders.
  • Support PSSRs with root cause analysis on OTD performance.
  • Define inventory levels to support unpredicted machine failures.
  • Consolidate forecast of product lines and support Product Portfolio initiatives.
  • Maintain a generic Major component file and Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL).
  • Support training regarding supply planning strategies and tools.
  • Report monthly on parts planning and availability performance.
