About The Position

We have a fantastic opportunity for a for Network Supply Chain Specialist to join the team at Verizon and manage supply planning for Verizon Network Inventory. You will play a pivotal role in the success of the Planning team. Your responsibilities will include supply planning, CPFR processes, interpreting forecasts, managing purchase orders, vendor collaboration, and cross-functional team coordination. The ability to interpret data, leverage analytics to make decisions, and drive change will be essential to your success in this role. This role will assist in coordinating and managing the activities of the onsite planning team and monitor Key Performance Indicators to ensure our commitment to service level agreements is achieved. You will anticipate the impact of upcoming marketing shifts, interpret data to make informed decisions and will aim to reduce expenses and limit capital purchases to reach operational efficiencies and a proper balance of available inventory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Work experience within Supply Chain or related industries.
  • Experience with SAP.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree such as a Masters in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of relationship management.
  • Supply Chain or Planning Experience, preferably in a telecom or high-tech environment.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office and Google applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
  • Preferred experience in applying analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, data mining, and statistics.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze purchasing, inventory planning, product delivery, quality and repair, and/or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes.
  • Support and assist within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process.
  • Provide technical, tactical and execution support.
  • Analyze data or information to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  • Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates to provide information.
  • Confer with logistics management teams to optimize service levels and maintain supply-chain efficiency.
  • Interpret data on logistics elements such as availability, maintainability, reliability, and supplier management.
  • Maintain databases of logistics information.
  • Make decisions and solve problems based on analysis of information.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
  • Own relevant compliance and controls activities.
  • Project manage small scope initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.
