About The Position

Levels is the largest US protein brand not owned by a conglomerate, experiencing rapid growth across major retailers like Costco, Sam's Club, Amazon, and H-E-B, with over 9,000 points of distribution projected for this year. The company is recognized for its commitment to simplicity, using grass-fed whey concentrate and minimal ingredients, and has received the Clean Label Project's Purity Award. Levels is in an aggressive expansion phase, launching in new retail locations and developing a brand-new product line. This newly created Supply Chain Planning Manager role is a hands-on position crucial for operational execution, encompassing MRP, co-manufacturer coordination, and multichannel logistics. The manager will also be responsible for directly managing and developing a junior Supply Chain Planner within a lean three-person team. This role will be a cornerstone for the new product line launch, taking ownership of supply planning from its inception, including co-manufacturer onboarding, MRP setup, material sourcing, and inventory buildout, all while ensuring the stability of the core business. It is a high-ownership position within a fast-moving team, ideal for a planner seeking to expand their scope and gain their first people-management experience without losing direct involvement in execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supply chain planning experience in CPG, food, or beverage
  • Direct experience with MRP systems, purchase order management, and co-manufacturer coordination
  • Familiarity with 3PL operations, EDI, and retail compliance
  • Experience with inventory management systems (CIN7, NetStock, or similar ERP/planning tools)
  • Proven ability to manage and develop junior team members while taking full ownership of team output and outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort in Excel, demand planning tools, and data reconciliation
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination with procurement, finance, and logistics partners
  • Self-directed and ownership-oriented, comfortable making decisions independently in a fast-paced environment without requiring step-by-step guidance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a new product line launch (beverage, functional food, or adjacent category) a plus
  • Background in protein, sports nutrition, or functional food brands a plus
  • Familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central or Seller Central logistics a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review MRP output and create purchase order proposals for raw materials and packaging
  • Purchase finished goods from co-manufacturers, including PO creation, order confirmation, production scheduling coordination, and delivery tracking
  • Review co-manufacturer end-of-day reports and manage expedites or production issues
  • Manage finished goods release, delivery scheduling, and inventory receipt into the warehouse
  • Own accountability (A) for logistics and fulfillment operations: Amazon, Costco, Sam’s Club shipments, shipped load reports, late shipment follow-ups, receipt confirmations, and packaging movements
  • Own accountability (A) for invoicing, pricing, and claims: EDI invoicing, invoice discrepancies, Amazon price tracker
  • Provide consultation (C) on quality issues tracking, VAS, executive reporting, and escalation resolution
  • Directly manage and develop the SC Planner, ensuring daily execution meets service level and accuracy standards
  • Support new product line supply planning from launch: co-manufacturer onboarding, MRP setup, material sourcing, and inventory buildout
  • Partner with the Sr. SC Director on inventory reconciliation and S&OP inputs
