About The Position

The Supply Chain Planner at BASF Corporation is responsible for managing and maintaining the production schedule for the Polyol Production assets in Wyandotte, Michigan. This role involves planning, ordering, and inventory control of raw materials, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high customer service levels. The position plays a crucial role in the sustainability transformation in plastics by collaborating with various teams to optimize production processes and inventory management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field, or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Customer Service.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in Supply Chain or related fields.
• APICS Certification preferred.
• Understanding of planning processes, including MRP and Sales and Operations Planning.
• Exceptional collaborative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple locations and functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of production planning and inventory for the Polyol manufacturing plant.
• Develop a production schedule for finished goods and plan packaging and ordering of raw materials using SAP planning screens.
• Collaborate with Operations, Product Management, Procurement, and other Supply Chain Planners to ensure the production plan is successful.
• Monitor inventory performance through inventory reports, cycle counts, and physical inventory to maintain accuracy and manage dysfunctional inventory.
• Adhere to safety and environmental policies as part of BASF's Vision and Guiding Principle.
