About The Position

ATI is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join our team. This position is part of the Specialty Alloys and Components (SA&C) business unit based in Huntsville, Alabama. This is an onsite, day shift position and typically works Monday-Friday and reports to the Sr. Manager of Operations. As a Planner, you will be responsible for creation and execution of the supply plan to optimize inventory levels, meet production schedules, and achieve the desired on-time customer delivery goals and targets. The Huntsville Planner’s primary focus is supply, but is also responsible for demand and production planning, along with capacity review, and ensuring facility is able to meet or exceed its various business and operational goals. You will also lead, facilitate or participate in projects that continue to improve our operations, either through teams or on an individual basis. Some initial travel may be required for training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of supply chain planning, logistics planning, or production planning experience.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and eliminate waste using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Comfortable with managing conflict, change, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.
  • Problem solving ability, both individually and in a group setting.
  • Ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or other relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a fast paced production/manufacturing setting.
  • Oracle Business Intelligence, Power BI, and other Oracle application experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor Huntsville facility supply needs to support planned and forecasted demand; anticipate demand and supply changes; handle emergency issues in the execution space as needed.
  • Review available supply and resources needs for acceptance and/or adjustments for all sales demand.
  • Review projected and actual inventory levels to meet defined inventory goals and objectives including cost reduction to achieve profitability targets.
  • Chair and provide inventory data for weekly review with multiple facilities and organizations.
  • Review, direct, and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual projected sales objectives and targets.
  • Participate in SIOE activities by optimizing the scheduling system (Oracle) through coordinating updates of critical inputs, such as scheduled ship dates, planning calendar, lead times, time fences, safety stocks, lot sizes, and other order modifiers.
  • Participate in SIOP activities to monitor demand planning performance and capacity, highlighting constrained resources, and identifying opportunities where there is additional capacity; produce visual information and content for SIOP reviews to enable effective decision making.
  • Will foster, drive, promote, or participate in continual communications with manufacturing, sales, and supply chain teams, working cross-functionally to balance supply and demand.
