As a Supply Chain Planner (SCP), Principle you are the focal point for all supply chain activities. This role specifically encompasses supply chain responsibilities for a development program. Integration and collaboration with the existing production team is critical to ensure a successful transition to manufacturing. The Supply Chain Planner develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth and sustainment. The planner supports execution of programs and coordination of new program / product launches. The planner monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. The Supply Chain Planner optimizes how supply chain management interfaces with manufacturing systems. The planner will plan, prepare, issue and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule. Planner will support risk management activities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams. The planner ensures that shipments are accomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments. The Supply Chain Planner will utilize system and process tools to achieve program / functional goals. This position requires that the individual possess a strong understanding of procurement and planning process steps; the individual must be capable of troubleshooting process failures to ensure success for the program. The candidate will be expected to train and mentor junior level supply chain team members. This position relies on experience and judgment to organize, plan, and accomplish department objectives with a wide degree of creativity, continuous improvement approach, and latitude expected to fulfill a variety of duties. The Supply Chain Planner, Principle will lead, develop, and implement supply chain strategies for the program / product line. This candidate will network with management and team members across the enterprise to drive success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Planning experience in a large multifaceted electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations.
  • Significant ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systems.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes.
  • Sales & Operations Experience/knowledge.
  • Inventory/stockroom management.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Ability to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory team.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Create presentation materials and give presentations to leadership team, production team, and customers.
  • Ability to analyze, react, and train on exceptions in MRP.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher level education completed or in process.
  • APICS certified.
  • Ability to implement Lean & Six Sigma improvements.
  • Root Cause/Corrective Action Skills.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in two or more of the following: Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Inventory Management, and Rough Cut Capacity Planning or Production Planning.
