The position involves leading the planning, project management, testing, and implementation of optimized solutions within the organization. The candidate will be a champion for change, implementing standard and consistent processes across all plants in alignment with global guidelines. Responsibilities include developing RFPs, obtaining and reviewing proposals/quotes, and preparing project budgets. The role also focuses on continuous process improvement, leading the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions to optimize various aspects of the supply chain, including plant layouts, inventory flow, warehousing, logistics, and SAP Warehouse Management. Performance monitoring is a key aspect, requiring the creation of internal analysis tools and the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI) using SAP reporting. The candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and lead a team of direct reports, managing performance and goal setting.

  • Develop RFP, obtain and review proposals/quotes and prepare project budgets
  • Lead the Analysis, Design and Implementation of Solutions to Optimize plant layouts and materials/inventory flow
  • Optimize receiving, warehousing and logistics, inventory storage and control, picking/packing/shipping & transportation, and distribution and global supply chain network
  • Manage SAP Warehouse Management systems/equipment/automation
  • Create internal analysis tools and monitor/report key performance indicators (KPI) using SAP reporting
  • Lead and develop a team of direct reports including performance management, performance reviews and goal setting
  • Collaborate with Parent Company in Germany and act as a counterpart to the Global Supply Chain and Logistics teams
  • Support Management in operational, conceptual, strategic planning and presentation of concepts and solutions
  • Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain department, Global Logistics Management team, Production Managers, ERP/WMS and IT teams, Industrial Engineering, and Facilities/Maintenance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment with Continuous Improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Experience leading a team with direct reports
  • Project Management and RFP experience
  • Advanced experience with SAP (WMS, Manufacturing, Reporting) or similar
  • Advanced ability with MS Excel
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar
