The Supply Chain Operations Supervisor oversees and coordinates daily logistics, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities across university campuses. This role ensures efficient, accurate, and timely movement of materials, mail, and equipment to support student services, academic departments, and administrative units. The Supervisor provides direct leadership to operations staff, promotes safety and compliance, and supports continuous process improvements to enhance the overall campus delivery experience. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely and reliable logistics support to the campus community while leading a dynamic operations team.   • Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of employees engaged in receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, delivering, and maintaining records for materials, mail, and equipment.
  • Oversees last-mile delivery and distribution operations, ensuring timely and accurate service across assigned areas.
  • Ensures that all shipping, receiving, and delivery processes align with university policies and established service standards.
  • Coordinates work schedules, routes, and priorities to meet fluctuating operational demands and seasonal surges.
  • Assists with the layout, organization, and housekeeping of storage and warehouse areas for efficiency and safety.
  • Monitors and maintains accurate inventory levels and records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Participates in annual inventory counts, reconciliation, and variance analysis to ensure data accuracy.
  • Verifies incoming shipments against purchase orders and bills of lading, reporting discrepancies or damage.
  • Maintains up-to-date records of inventory transactions, deliveries, and property control data.
  • Leads, mentors, and trains a team of logistics, warehouse, and mailroom employees, including student or temporary staff, on proper procedures and safety practices.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, provides feedback, and promotes teamwork and accountability.
  • Supports employee scheduling, attendance management, and daily task assignments.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for campus departments regarding delivery schedules, lost or delayed shipments, and service requests.
  • Ensures professional and courteous interactions with university staff, students, and external vendors.
  • Promotes a service-oriented culture focused on reliability, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Enforces safety regulations, operational policies, and risk management procedures for warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Conducts safety inspections and promotes safe lifting, driving, and equipment-handling practices.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and university requirements, including property control and documentation standards.
  • Any other tasks assigned.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations.
  • Understanding of property control, material handling, and delivery routing.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management or tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and service quality.
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Demonstrated success implementing process improvements, workflow redesigns, or technology enhancements.
  • Experience with WMS, TMS, asset-tracking, or ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting inventory audits, compliance processes, or asset-control programs.
  • Must possess a valid U.S driver’s license.
