Item Master Data Intern – Supply Chain Operations Project Overview This 10-week internship provides hands-on experience in a high-volume distribution environment, focused on improving the accuracy and integrity of product master data. Interns will work directly with warehouse operations and supply chain leadership to execute a large-scale item measurement initiative and help design a sustainable process for maintaining item-master data accuracy across the network. This is a project-based role with defined deliverables, combining operational execution with process improvement and data governance.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Strong attention to detail with a high standard for accuracy
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Comfortable working in a warehouse setting and handling physical products
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items up to 50 lbs
Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with WMS systems is a plus
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and adapt
Eligibility to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Operate the Cubiscan dimensioning system to capture accurate length, width, height, and weight measurements for assigned SKUs
Execute high-volume measurement activities with a focus on throughput, consistency, and accuracy
Validate measurement results and ensure data integrity prior to system updates
Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, including re-measurement and exception handling
Maintain organized and auditable records of all collected data for integration into the company’s PIM/WMS systems
Support validation and correction of existing item master data
Contribute to the design of a standardized process for ongoing item-dimension accuracy
Document workflows, SOPs, and quality control procedures for future state operations
Assist in building a repeatable onboarding process for new SKUs to ensure dimension accuracy at entry
Collaborate with warehouse leadership, inventory control, and supply chain teams to align processes and improve data reliability
Identify and recommend improvements to increase measurement efficiency, accuracy, and overall workflow performance
Review weekly UPS reporting on dimensioning audits to validate accuracy of measurements
