About The Position
Nordstrom is seeking summer interns who are highly motivated andâ¯focused on the customer experienceâ¯to join ourâ¯supply chainâ¯organization. As a Nordstromâ¯Supply Chainâ¯Intern, you'll playâ¯a dual role - dedicated student and valued team member. Successfulâ¯Supply Chainâ¯Interns will alsoâ¯have the opportunity toâ¯join Nordstrom full-time upon completion of their degree. As an intern, youâ¯may have exposure to… Potential assignments in Warehouse Operations, Quality, Planning, Transportationâ¯Planning &â¯Logistics,â¯and Supply Chainâ¯Engineering. Analyzing data to identify cost-saving opportunities, supporting network optimization projects, driving cross-functional improvements, and leveraging key tools, technology, and resources. Supportingâ¯various components and activities spanning the project management life cycle, such as business case analysis, detailed requirements, and issues management. Implementing and managing leading-edge distribution technology. At the end of the summer, our interns report out to theirâ¯Leadership Team on the key business points learned from their internship experience.
Requirements
- Are looking for a career that pairs your supply chain management expertise with your love of fashion
- Are aâ¯passionate,â¯curious,â¯and innovativeâ¯college student currently in your juniorâ¯or seniorâ¯year working toward aâ¯bachelor'sâ¯degree inâ¯a Supply Chain focused degree or related field
- Prior internship or co-op experience in supply chain, transportation, or operations
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment thanks to yourâ¯aceâ¯organizational skills and ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures
- Have experience and proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP), data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and basic SQL
- Are able toâ¯move to Seattle for the duration of the 10-week summer internship
- Are interested in starting/pursuing a career in Seattle
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills
