About The Position

As a Co-op, you will be part of the team from day one and given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects' success. Success in this role depends on the Co-op’s initiative and teamwork skills. A successful Co-op will learn how to negotiate contracts with subcontractors, research supply chain alternatives, and perform data analytics to analyze trends. Top achieving Co-ops will have the opportunity to manage a new process improvement project from idea generation to final implementation under the guidance of the Logistics Manager. McKenney's has a long history of success in hiring Co-ops and supporting their evolution into industry leaders. Many of our current senior leaders began their journey in the Co-op program.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be enrolled in a Co-op program at an accredited school majoring in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or a related degree.
  • Candidates must complete at least two full-time, alternating Co-op rotations before graduation and should avoid a full courseload while working, which may delay graduation.
  • 1st Rotation: Fall 2026
  • 2nd Rotation: Summer 2027
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and detail-focused.
  • Productive in fast-paced environments with strong multitasking skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workload efficiently.
  • Effective communicator across diverse teams, including PMs, drafting, field staff, and fabrication shops.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects focused on process mapping, standardization, and automation.
  • Support purchase order negotiations with the Subcontracts team.
  • Analyze vendor spend, performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Solicit material quotes from external vendors.
  • Assist project teams with vendor and manufacturer feedback to resolve quality observations.
  • Use Excel, Power Query, Smartsheet, and Tableau for data tracking and visualization.
  • Join jobsite walks to collect performance feedback.
  • Generate ideas to improve fleet and vehicle receiving efficiency.
