Meijer offers an 11-week internship program that challenges interns to deliver innovative solutions to real projects that impact the business. Throughout the course of the internship experience, we deliver diverse personal and professional development opportunities that further develop skillsets that can be implemented both during and after the program. The internship program will allow for interaction with other interns and Meijer senior leaders. The internship program includes: Challenging and impactful projects, final presentations delivered to senior executives, executive speaker series, professional development and training opportunities, networking and community events, and events highlighting key areas of the business.

  • Focus on key areas of Planning product flow through driving Network efficiencies.
  • Optimize product flow through distribution centers.
  • Create reporting (ex: Power BI) to predict product inventory levels.
  • Analyze delivery frequency to stores for each commodity.
  • Conduct cost analysis of vendor supply chain programs.
  • Provide a cross-functional experience across many areas of the business with a focus on an end-to-end Supply Chain experience.
  • Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Statistics, or Finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with data analytics processes and software such as Power BI and SQL.
  • Strong drive for results with a focus on the bottom line.
  • Customer-focused with dedication to meeting expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to create positive working relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Curiosity to research and look beyond the obvious to assemble and interpret data.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Network and Planning.
  • Previous internship experience in a related field.
