The Materials Specialist is responsible for managing material flow, and supply continuity to support factory operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for materials planning and inventory control, working cross-functionally to ensure production schedules are met while optimizing cost, quality, and service levels. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support material planning and execution to support short- and long-term production schedules Analyze demand forecasts, production plans, and bills of material to ensure material availability Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and shortages Serve as escalation point for material shortages, supplier delays, and production disruptions Action "Keep the Business Running" inventory transactions ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Utilizing Intel Engineering database to create new Intel part numbers for factory Bill of Material creation Ensure standard costs are loaded to SAP Master Data for individual part numbers Generate costed Bill of Materials as requested by Program Managers Partner with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to align materials strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience in the following:
  • Materials management, inventory control, and manufacturing operations
  • Supporting factory or production environments
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • ERP/MRP systems, specifically SAP/S4 Hana

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and inventory optimization strategies
  • Prior experience leading projects or mentoring team members
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar credentials a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make inventory and planning decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with cross functional/cross geo teams as well as Senior Managers.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced manufacturing settings
