About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring continuous access to innovation for customers by maintaining seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost. The team is diverse, comprising software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, who collaborate across AWS to uphold high standards for safety and security. An ideal candidate will have a background in supply chain operations and strong data-driven problem-resolution skills, managing purchase orders, ticket queues, and ensuring timely PO closure and invoice payments. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Analysis, Construction, or other related fields
• Background in supply chain operations
• Excellent data driven problem-resolution skills
• Ability to place purchase orders, manage a ticket queue and ensure timely PO closure and invoice payment
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams to perform in-depth analyses and troubleshoot issues in a variety of subject areas
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of supply chain management, production planning, capacity planning or manufacturing operations experience

Responsibilities

• Tracking the status of Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Order using internal tools and processes
• Manage, analyze, and reconcile purchase orders internally and externally
• Work with vendors and Procurement to coordinate purchase order changes and approvals
• Monitor and coordinate purchase order issuance and cancellations
• Track recurring issues that arise in the Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order creation process and proactively recommend solutions to improve the process
• Present the performance and metrics associated with the Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order processes
• Manage a ticket queue
• Issue POs and manage timely payment
• Material/Inventory Planning
• Supply/Demand planning and Forecasting
• Maintaining continuity of supply (COS)
• Communicating supply status, risks/mitigations to internal stakeholders and leadership
• Working with data and analytics (ability to view, edit, and extrapolate data in Excel or similar spreadsheet software)
• Working with suppliers/vendors, datacenters, and inventory warehousing teams
