About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement of raw materials to delivery of materials to production and manufacturing. This role ensures materials are available for production, inventory is communicated efficiently, suppliers are effectively coordinated, and customer delivery expectations are met. The Supply Chain Manager works cross-functionally with Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Quality, Manufacturing and Operations to support operational goals and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or APICS certification preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, and vendor management (manufacturing environment).
  • Strong knowledge of MRP systems, Excel, Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience with government contracts and operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Lead procurement activities including sourcing, supplier negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate with demand planning, production scheduling, and materials planning.
  • Coordinate logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective action plans when needed.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to manage supplier qualifications and audits.
  • Proven experience in ERP systems (item setup, BOMs, demand planning).
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and supply chain process improvements.
  • Use PLM systems (e.g. Arena) to maintain accurate BOMs, supply chain data and reporting.
  • Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals (buyers, planners, analysts).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including AS9100, ISO, and other applicable certifications.
  • Experience developing KPIs and improving operational efficiency.
