About The Position

York Space Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead supplier performance and execution across our spacecraft mission supply chain. This role is responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships, ensuring on-time delivery of critical components, managing supplier capacity and risk, and supporting cost and sourcing strategies across programs. The Supply Chain Manager partners closely with engineering, program management, quality, and finance teams to ensure suppliers can meet mission requirements, schedules, and cost targets. This position will drive supplier performance, resolve supply disruptions, and support strategic sourcing decisions to ensure successful spacecraft builds and mission delivery. This role reports to the Manager, Supply Chain and may evolve as the organization grows. This is an on-site position located at our Greenwood Village, CO headquarters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of combined experience in supply chain management, program management, procurement, or engineering.
  • Experience managing supplier performance including delivery, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, program management, and operations teams.
  • Strong proficiency using ERP data to track purchase orders, supplier commitments, delivery status, and supply chain performance metrics.
  • Advanced skills in Excel or data analysis tools (PowerBI) to support supply chain reporting and decision making.
  • Experience managing multiple suppliers and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal successful candidate will be detail-oriented, resourceful, and have prior subcontract review and negotiation experience.
  • Successful experience leading teams and delivering results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly engineered and regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with government and commercial contracting environments (DPAS, EAR/ITAR compliance).
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or production ramp environments.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits or supplier development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day management of key suppliers supporting spacecraft mission builds.
  • Manage supplier on-time delivery performance, supplier quality, cost and capacity to ensure program targets are met.
  • Lead regular supplier reviews to track commitments, identify risks, and drive corrective actions when necessary.
  • Partner with suppliers to resolve production, quality, or schedule issues impacting program execution.
  • Conduct supplier site visits (as needed) to assess performance, capacity, and improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate supplier status, risks, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier schedules and material availability to support spacecraft production timelines.
  • Lead supplier focus team working closely with program managers and engineering teams to align supplier commitments with Program milestones.
  • Identify supply risks early and develop mitigation strategies to prevent program delays.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts by coordinating supplier readiness for new components and builds.
  • Support negotiation and execution of supplier agreements and subcontracts in collaboration with procurement and legal teams.
  • Ensure supplier agreements align with program schedules, technical requirements, and cost expectations.
  • Review supplier proposals and quotes to ensure accuracy and alignment with program needs, and ensure change management process flows to capture updates through program lifecycle.
