About The Position
Solidus Resources is a U.S.-based gold development company backed by Waterton Mining. The Spring Valley Gold Project is located in the prolific Humboldt Range, an area with approximately 60 million ounces of gold endowment within a 50-mile radius. The Spring Valley Project is a large-scale open pit gold heap leach operation, with a >10 year mine life and a production profile in excess of 300,000 oz annually. Using 300-ton class autonomous mining haul trucks and electric hydraulic shovels, the higher-grade ore will be crushed in a 13 Mst/a three stage crushing facility with a ½” product size that is conveyed and placed on the heap leach pad with stackers, while the low-grade run-of-mine ore will be directly stacked using the mine truck fleet. The conventional heap leach pad is segregated into these two operating areas where it will be irrigated, with leach solutions collected and processed into dore bars through the ADR facility. Site infrastructure to support the operation such as haul roads, waste rock storage facilities, truck shops, water management, warehouses, offices, etc are also included in the project scope. Position Overview: The Supply Chain Manager will lead procurement, contract management, logistics, and supply chain operations for the Spring Valley Gold Project. This role will initially be based in Toronto through the end of 2026, working closely with the EPCM engineering team during detailed design and construction planning. During project construction, the role will transition to Reno, Nevada supporting both project construction and ongoing operations.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years mining supply chain experience
- Experience supporting both capital projects and operating mines
- Knowledge of heavy equipment, MARC Contracts, processing plant components, and consumables
- Strong contract negotiation and cost control experience
- Willingness to work in Toronto through 2026 and transition to Reno,NV
Nice To Haves
- Strong Nevada mining vendor network preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- Nevada mining experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategy for project and operational phases
- Manage sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and vendor management
- Coordinate major equipment purchases (mobile fleet, crushing plant components, ADR equipment)
- Establish warehousing and inventory control systems
- Develop site supply logistics plans
- Manage supplier performance and cost controls
- Oversee local vendor development and contractor partnerships
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies
- Support capital project procurement in coordination with engineering teams
- Transition supply chain systems from project phase to steady-state operations
