The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, inventory, and supply chain operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and reliable delivery of materials and components. This role directs a purchasing team, manages vendor relationships, and partners with internal stakeholders to support production, control costs, and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 4 Year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain management experience, preferably in electronics or manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Expertise in purchasing electronic components and managing supplier relationships.
  • Experience with MRP systems (Epicor preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of cost savings and process improvements.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with problem-solving ability and results orientation.
  • Familiarity with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies and supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate and influence across functions and levels.

  • Professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) to support company projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and mentor a purchasing team organized by commodities; provide coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues, align supply with demand, and maintain strong supplier performance standards.
  • Communicate, support & implement all corporate supply chain initiatives related to commodity management, DIO reporting & reduction, Authorized Distributors & Global MRP commonality
  • Manage inventory levels, set targets, and implement policies to optimize working capital while ensuring material availability for production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Reduce obsolete and excess inventory by collaborating with production planning, engineering, and sales to identify at-risk materials and implement disposition strategies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to forecast needs, reduce demand fluctuations, and ensure reliable delivery performance.
  • Oversee warehouse shipping and receiving operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate material requirements through MRP/ERP systems to maintain optimal inventory and ensure on-time availability; analyze forecasts, collaborate with engineering and production, and adjust plans to prevent shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and process improvements; meet or exceed annual savings targets.
  • Identify and implement actions to mitigate supply chain risks such as supplier dependency, geopolitical challenges, and logistics disruptions.
