The plant specializes in producing ingredients for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. It has enhanced our proximity to our North American customers and increased our manufacturing capabilities worldwide. Its overall concept was designed to incorporate the highest levels of manufacturing quality for cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients. All of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are integrated at the product flow level as well as at the individual flow level. The facility has obtained ISO 9001:2015, EFfCI and RSPO certification. The Seppic, Inc. Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the Supply Chain activities of 3 locations that comprise Seppic North America. The locations are Fairfield N.J., (finished goods distribution), Richmond VA (manufacturing plant) and Newark, DE (R&I). The Supply Chain Manager will have a team of five that are located between the Fairfield and Richmond sites. The Supply Chain Manager role will be located full time in Fairfield NJ with regular travel to Richmond VA. The primary responsibilities will consist of the following: Inventory Management and Planning Supervise and approve Supply Chain Analyst and Material Manager MRPs ensuring efficient sourcing to comply with customers open orders and manufacturing needs. Supervise Inventory Management in ERP (Inventory status, Inventory alignment with Warehouses (TP and internal)), ensure maintenance of updated products information (activation of any new items incl. upload customs and regulatory, CoA, purchasing & logistic info, safety stock, etc), supervise shelflife management (Good Deal list), destruction campaign and control financial provision. Supervise S&OP meetings for all business markets and represent supply to and from all Seppic Inc. locations. Supervise Master Production Schedule optimization. Responsible for achieving reach Group Inventory objectives. Effectively manage inventory by analyzing forecasting, demand planning, and sales order data. Proactively identify and communicate inventory gaps and stock risks (stockouts/overstock) to counterparts, recommending actions based on lead time, demand variability, and service level targets. Manage relationships with principals regarding the supply of finished products distributed within the U.S., and with vendors for both Direct and Indirect procurement. Align Finished Goods Inventory and forecasts with Sales, integrating new distribution partners and updating Price lists. Coordinate Raw Material supply strategy with Material and Production Managers to meet Inventory and production KPIs. Adhere to Seppic Group procurement strategy and procedures (including supplier qualification/creation). Coordinate non-local procurement, including audit support, with Seppic Group Procurement team. Manage the PtP process (supplier creation, PRQ/PO, Goods Receipts) with Seppic Procurement and Finance AP. Coordinate Standard Costs with Finance. Lead supplier Claim Management with Seppic Procurement. Logistics, Trade Compliance, and Partner Management: Oversee all logistics operations and manage relationships with customs brokers and transportation providers. Review and validate contracts with brokers, review service performance Oversees and tracks Logistics import incl. air shipment and ocean transportation of finished products and Raw Materials by providing reliable KPIs on Lead Time, Logistic delays. Support team with all Customs and Transportation topics (insurance, contract, audit, etc.) Ensure Trade Compliance (import + export, duty drawback ) and manage international trade complexities Coordinate contract with Warehouses and supervise communications, Review Agreements performance with TP service providers, Ensure processes are followed and optimized, supervise physical inventory Ensure flawless integration of exportation processes from the U.S. plant. Proactively manage international trade complexities (port strikes, blank sailings, tariffs, etc.) Implement and Analyze Supply and logistics KPIs (costs, transit times, carrier performance, inventory) to identify improvement opportunities Ensure efficient interfaces with Seppic Inc local counterparts mainly Customer Service, Sales, Regulatory, Plant Management and Finance Teams Provide accurate tools with up to date information regarding in-coming supply. Manage claims in regard to damaged products, picking issues, etc. Supervise Good Deal meetings, Not Reserved, S&OP meetings to identify actions. Analysis and Reporting Prepare data-driven reports on supply chain operations, logistics performance, and inventory KPIs to support supply chain decision-making and ensure cost optimization (MOQ, Incoterms, OTD, etc.). Assist with new technology implementation, lead new project and participate in cross-functional projects to optimize Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics performance Identify and Implement process Efficiencies and ensure SOP are maintained. Team Management Ensure alignment of processes and objectives with the Seppic Group Supply chain and leverage from Group purchasing organization and good practices. Responsible for team success incl. reaching yearly Supply Chain, Inventory and Logistic KPIs. Requirements

  • Skills Solid knowledge of best practices in supply chain & procurement
  • Good distribution practices (EFFCi and FDA)
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems & principles.
  • Proven organization, communication and interpersonal skills with multi-site and international teams
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented and proven ability to perform quantitative analysis, forecasting tools (create reports and establish KPIs) and reach challenging objectives
  • Education Bachelor degree, in Business Administration or relevant
  • Experience 5+ yrs supply chain experience
  • 2+ yrs sourcing & planning (domestic and international)
  • 2+ yrs import & export
  • 2+ yrs manufacturing, chemical manufacturing experience beneficial
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Proficient use of planning tools and software programs such as Google and Microsoft .

  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX Dynamics a plus.
